What we treat

Care for the things that keep you from feeling like you.

Thorough evaluation, honest diagnosis, and a plan built around your life — not a template.

Depression

When the heaviness won't lift and steals your sleep, energy, and joy — from first-line medication to TMS, Spravato®, and ketamine when nothing else has worked.

Anxiety

Racing thoughts, restlessness, and worry that makes simple things overwhelming. It's treatable — with personalized plans that calm the noise.

ADD / ADHD

Focus, impulsivity, and organization struggles affect students, soldiers, and adults alike. Careful evaluation first, then treatment that actually fits.

PTSD

Intrusive memories, hypervigilance, and numbness after trauma — combat or otherwise. Our team includes providers who have lived it.

Bipolar Disorder

Extreme swings in mood, sleep, and energy deserve expert diagnosis and a steady, long-term partnership — not guesswork.

Sleep Disorders

Insomnia, restless legs, and parasomnias drain mental health from the top down. We diagnose and treat the sleep so everything else can heal.

We see patients ages 13 and up. Teens 13–15 are seen alongside concurrent therapy with a guardian present.

How we help

Every level of care, under one roof.

Most practices stop at prescriptions. Novus pairs thoughtful medication management with a full interventional psychiatry suite — rare anywhere outside a major city.

The foundation

Psychiatric Evaluation & Medication Management

A full 60 minutes for your first visit and 30 for follow-ups — one patient per slot, never overbooked. Your provider actually has time to listen, explain, and adjust.

  • Physician-led team of PAs and psychiatric nurse practitioners
  • Prescriptions sent electronically to your pharmacy before you leave
  • Brief, targeted psychotherapy built into every visit

Ketamine Infusion Therapy

Rapid-acting relief for treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, anxiety, and suicidal thinking — monitored by an ACLS-certified RN with years of ER experience.

Up to 70% of patients who failed other medications find relief

Spravato® (Esketamine)

FDA-approved nasal spray for treatment-resistant depression, administered in-office at our REMS-certified clinic alongside your existing care.

Often ~$10 with insurance + manufacturer savings program

NeuroStar® TMS Therapy

Drug-free, non-invasive magnetic stimulation for depression. About 19 minutes a day, in the chair and back to your life — no sedation, no downtime.

83% respond · 62% reach full remission (real-world data)

GeneSight® Genetic Testing

A simple saliva swab shows how your genes affect your response to psychiatric medications — cutting the trial-and-error out of prescribing.

Results reviewed with your provider, not a portal PDF

Telehealth, done right

Every provider sees patients online over HIPAA-compliant, encrypted Zoom — same 60/30-minute standard, offered since before the pandemic.

Honest about what we don't do

Our focus is evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management. Need weekly talk therapy? We'll refer you to trusted local therapists we know by name.

“The care I received was sub-par, so I decided to be the change I wanted to see in the world.” Vincent Proctor, PA-C · Retired Combat Veteran
Veterans & military families

Built by veterans, for the Fort Campbell community.

Novus was founded by an Air Force medic turned PA, and every member of our team has a military affiliation. We've cared for hundreds of veterans and military family members — because this community is our community.

Ketamine therapy is covered at 100% by the VA for service-connected disabled veterans with treatment-resistant depression — and we can start the referral for you.

01

Reach out — or let us start it

Call or text (931) 820-0242, or ask your VA provider for a Community Care referral. We'll help initiate it either way.

02

The VA schedules you with us

Once your referral is approved, your appointment is set and your intake forms arrive through our patient portal.

03

Start care with people who get it

60 minutes with a provider who understands military life — many of us have worn the uniform too.

Why Novus

You'll never be treated like a number here.

Novus was started in 2018 after years of watching Clarksville go without enough quality psychiatric care. So we built the practice we wished existed — one with the time to know you.

Accountability

We do what we say — same-day responses, on-time visits, plans you understand.

Connection

We live, work, and raise our families in the same community we serve.

Compassion

Reaching out is hard. Every step after it shouldn't be.

Commitment

From first call through every follow-up, you keep the same team in your corner.

This community is our home. We're here to create mental wellness in the same community where we live, work, play, and raise our own families. After years of witnessing the lack of psychiatric options in the Clarksville area, it became apparent I could not continue to watch the problem while knowing I could contribute to the solution.

Questions, answered

What patients ask us most.

Do you offer telehealth?+
Yes — every provider sees patients both in person and online. Telehealth runs on HIPAA-compliant, encrypted Zoom; you just need a quiet, private space (no driving or multitasking during your visit).
I'm a veteran or military family member — can I be seen at Novus?+
Absolutely — it's core to our mission. Novus is veteran owned and operated, and every team member has a military affiliation. Veterans can be referred through VA Community Care (we can help initiate the referral), and ketamine therapy is covered at 100% by the VA for service-connected disabled veterans with treatment-resistant depression.
What ages do you see?+
Ages 13 and up. Patients 13–15 must be in concurrent therapy and accompanied by a legal guardian at every visit; ages 16–18 may be seen without a guardian present.
Do you provide therapy or counseling?+
Our focus is psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management, with brief targeted psychotherapy built into visits. For ongoing weekly talk therapy we'll gladly refer you to trusted local therapists.
What is ketamine therapy, and does insurance cover it?+
Low-dose IV ketamine offers rapid relief — often within hours to days — for treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, anxiety, OCD, and suicidal thinking. We're one of very few clinics that applies major insurance toward infusions, and the VA covers it at 100% for qualifying veterans.
How fast will I be seen?+
Register online (it takes minutes) and our team responds the same day. You'll get a portal invite, complete your intake questionnaires (20–30 minutes), confirm by text, and attend your 60-minute first visit — in office or on Zoom.
What's your cancellation policy?+
Each appointment slot is reserved just for you — we never overbook. Cancel with 24+ hours' notice at no charge; late cancellations and no-shows incur a fee.
Do I need a referral?+
Most patients don't — you can self-refer by registering online or calling. VA Community Care patients need a VA referral, which we're happy to help initiate.
