About Christina

Christina is a psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) at Novus Behavioral Health. She has been involved in the world of psychiatry for over 25 years. She completed her first bachelor’s in psychology, then went on to complete a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has held various positions in mental health, including therapist, crisis outreach and case manager. After a decade in mental health, she returned to school to pursue nursing, always with the intention of remaining in psychiatry. She obtained her BSN from Austin Peay State University and then returned for her Masters from the University of Missouri. As a nurse, she has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including community mental health and crisis stabilization. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two boys, gardening, and reading fiction.
