About Novus · Est. 2018

The practice we wished existed — so we built it.

After years of watching patient after patient struggle to find local, quality psychiatric treatment, our founder stopped waiting for someone else to fix it. Novus exists to take care of two groups the system keeps failing: patients, and the people who care for them.

Our mission

This community is our home.

We're here to create mental wellness in the same community where we live, work, play, and raise our own families.

Our mission is two-fold: taking care of patients, and taking care of health care providers. We believe each person has an inherent drive to contribute to a greater good. Creating a healthy work culture and fostering a supportive environment lets our team members naturally achieve their personal goal of providing exceptional care.

That's not a poster in a break room — it's the operating model. Providers who aren't burned out have time to listen. Staff who are treated well answer the phone like neighbors. And patients feel the difference at every visit.

Our promise: you'll never be treated like a number here. You will receive the individualized care you are seeking — and the care you deserve.

After years of witnessing the lack of psychiatric options in the Clarksville area, it became apparent I could not continue to watch the problem while knowing I could contribute to the solution. Patient after patient shared with me their frustration in finding local, quality psychiatric treatment.

In our own words

Watch our story.

Two and a half minutes with the people behind Novus — why we built this practice, who it's for, and what walking through our door feels like. No script beats hearing it straight from the team.

Our values

Four words we actually mean.

Every practice lists values. Ours come with receipts — here's what each one looks like from the patient's chair.

Accountability

Accountability is missing from so much of healthcare today. It's important that our team shows up for patients consistently and reliably — trust is the foundation of an effective patient–provider partnership. Same-day responses, on-time visits, plans you understand.

Connection

We give patient and provider time to genuinely connect: a full hour for intake appointments and 30 minutes for follow-ups. More time means a more meaningful connection, a more robust understanding, and less pressure for everyone in the room.

Compassion

We know how difficult it is to open up to a new provider. Compassionate care is how we learn to best support each patient's path to mental wellness — informing you of every treatment option based on your goals, not a template.

Commitment

No matter how many medications you've tried, how many providers you've seen, or how apprehensive you might be — we promise to remain committed to finding the best treatment options for you, and we keep exploring innovative treatments to bring you the latest options.
